The signature French brand founded more than half a century ago is easily recognizable due to bright colors, provocative slogans and lots and lots of stripes. Sonia Rykiel, the founder of the eponymous brand, treated fashion with irony and style: being a little eccentric herself, she was far from shy in her designs. Her striped sweaters were worn by Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, and Catherine Deneuve.
